The new valley station of the Costoratta chairlift, a project built by Clara Costruzioni and designed by kostnerarchitektur, stands as an example of excellence in engineering and design in the world of ropeways. Strategically positioned on the Campolongo Pass, this station not only provides the first access point in Alta Badia for skiers embarking on the Sellaronda, but also embodies perfect harmony with its natural surroundings.
Strictly complying with the protection of the Dolomites landscape, the lift blends harmoniously with the impressive scenery of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The materials chosen, such as precast concrete, wood and glass elements, not only elevate the architectural and functional standards of the construction, but also offer winter sports enthusiasts a panoramic view of state-of-the-art technology and the majestic mountain landscape.
Featuring a modern design and clean lines, the station welcomes guests to an unparalleled boarding environment. The Costoratta chairlift, manufactured by Leitner, sets a benchmark in the industry with its ergonomic seats, protective domes and an impressive capacity of 3,400 passengers per hour. This departure station is designed to ensure smooth and safe boarding, with a moving carpet and light bars facilitating access for all skiers.
The integration of the Costoratta station into the mountain landscape is an example of how modernity and respect for nature can coexist in harmony. Every detail is designed to provide safety and comfort, especially for the little ones, making this station not only a starting point for skiing adventures, but also a tribute to engineering and design that enriches the experience of those visiting Alta Badia.
