Rifugio Piz Boè
Demolition and reconstruction of a hut
Construction of a 2-storey building at a high altitude. The architecture is simple, modern and congruent with the surrounding environment.
The main goal of this project was to integrate the building with the surrounding environment. This realization upstream of the Boé cableway at 2,190 meters high is a mix of tradition and technology and is certainly one of the most important novelties in the field of high altitude construction. The shelter was built with simple and natural materials such as wood and dolomitic stone that characterize the interior and exterior environment. A flat and light form has been chosen since it's located in an exposed position in a protected environment. The high energy-saving standards Casa Clima "B" guarantee the respect and enhancement of the surrounding environment.
